Nohad Abou-Hamad
Nohad is currently completing her Master of Education Degree in Counselling Psychology at the University of Ottawa. Nohad completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, with a minor in the Social Sciences of Health at the University of Ottawa. Nohad works as a clinical intern at Joy Health and Research Centre. Nohad’s clinical training involves working with individuals, children, youth, families, couples and groups in supervised practice. Nohad uses an integrative therapy approach which includes Person Centered Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Positive Psychology.
Nohad is building upon the knowledge she has already acquired through her Masters education. Nohad finds this opportunity extremely valuable and appreciates just being able to help individuals. Nohad is eager to gain more experience in her internship site where she can provide therapy and counselling. Nohad has past experience in working with children, youth, and families in the City of Ottawa. Nohad is competent to work with diverse groups.
